CitiesAlive 2026 Announces High Line Tour and Frying Pan Reception

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities is pleased to announce the opening green infrastructure tour and networking reception taking place on September 30 at the CitiesAlive Conference. This opening tour and reception will bring together attendees to explore one of New York City’s most iconic green infrastructure projects - the Highline -, and then gather for dinner and drinks aboard the historic Lightship Frying Pan. The evening will begin at 5:00 PM at the High Line, where attendees will meet. The group will take a guided walking tour highlighting the High Line’s innovative approach to green infrastructure. The tour will include presentations from companies that contributed to the project, including Maximilian Scherbaum of ZinCo USA and Charles Duprey of Naturcycle.
Following the tour, attendees will walk together through Hudson Yards to the Lightship Frying Pan, a historic vessel permanently docked at Pier 66 Maritime in Hudson River Park. The evening reception will run from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM and will include dinner and an open bar, providing attendees with an opportunity to catch up with old colleagues, make new connections, and enjoy the possible sunset views over the Hudson River.

The event is a rain or shine walking tour and reception. Attendees should be prepared for approximately 10 minutes of walking between the High Line and the Lightship Frying Pan, as well as additional walking during the tour.
