Submissions
The world’s only peer-reviewed open access publication on living architecture, the Journal of Living Architecture (JLIV) is accepting open submissions on the full range of topics related to vegetative walls, roofs, and structures. This includes research, innovation and commentary across a range of disciplines including: design, science, policy, education, construction and stewardship. Submissions will be accepted in all of the following categories.
Categories
Feature is a great place to discuss concepts and research findings of particular significance to living architecture professionals and to the living architecture knowledge base, methodology, practice and organization. [>5000 words]
Ideas at Work is an excellent place for nascent projects and burgeoning work with innovative and novel approaches, describes novel ideas, patent pending work, innovative programs and new methods of interest to professionals. [1500-4500 words]
Tools of the Trade is a great place for descriptive reports on specific materials, books, techniques and technologies useful to professionals. [1500-2500 words]
Research in Brief is good place for discrete and focused literature review, the summary of preliminary, or collective work, that is more specific and succinct than a Feature. [1500-2500 words]
Commentary is a great place for perspectives challenging or presenting an opinion on an issue of concern to the living architecture field or to discuss a manuscript previously published in the JLIV. [1500-2500 words]
JLIV offers a rapid and rigorous review process.
To submit an article to the Journal of Living Architecture, review the submission guidelines and follow all instructions. As a refereed journal, all submissions are expected to contain scholarly content and citations. It is the author's responsibility to ensure that manuscripts submitted to the JLIV follow the submission guidelines.
Any submission deviating from the JLIV format will be returned to the corresponding authors for correction. All manuscript submissions must be the original work of the author(s) listed and must not have been previously published or under current review at another publication venue.
