Submissions Now Open for the 2026 Jeffrey L. Bruce Awards of Excellence

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Jeffrey L. Bruce Awards of Excellence program, recognizing outstanding achievements in green roof and wall design, research, policy, and corporate leadership. Winners will be celebrated at CitiesAlive 2026 in New York City, where leading professionals from across the green infrastructure industry will gather to showcase innovation and excellence in the built environment.
The Awards of Excellence program highlights work that advances the integration of living architecture into cities through design innovation, scientific research, policy development, and industry leadership. Categories include Design Awards, Research Award, Civic Award, Living Architecture Monitor Advertising Award, and the President’s Corporate Award.
Submissions are now open and must be submitted by July 3, 2026. To apply, participants are required to submit a completed submission form in PDF or DOC format along with a 5 to 10 slide project presentation in PowerPoint or PDF format. An optional plant list may also be included. Submit here.
Award recipients will be recognized in front of hundreds of industry professionals at CitiesAlive 2026 on October 2 at 4pm, as well as featured in the Living Architecture Monitor. Past winners have included projects ranging from large-scale civic infrastructure to innovative residential, institutional, and research contributions across North America and internationally.
The Awards of Excellence continue to highlight the most impactful work in green infrastructure, celebrating projects and individuals that are advancing ecological design, climate resilience, and the integration of nature into the built environment.
