Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) announces Anthony Fieldman, Partner at DIALOG, as a keynote speaker for CitiesAlive 2026 in New York City. Learn more about CitiesAlive, and register before June 30 to get the early bird rate.

Anthony Fieldman’s keynote, “Centennial Upheaval: The Coming Age of Abundance”, will explore how today’s interconnected crises, including climate instability, inequality, housing, healthcare, and institutional breakdown, are rooted in outdated systems designed for a world of scarcity rather than abundance.

Drawing on themes from his book Everything Is Broken: The Coming Age of Abundance, Fieldman argues that many of society’s simultaneous failures are not isolated problems, but systemic design failures that require collective, long-term solutions. His keynote will examine how individuals, institutions, and cities are beginning to reshape these systems to support resilience, equity, and collective thriving.

With more than 35 years of experience in architecture, Fieldman has led award-winning projects across aviation, public safety, academic, commercial, residential, cultural, and hospitality sectors. Throughout his career, he has focused on the relationship between design, culture, and human experience, approaching architecture as a tool for social and environmental transformation.

In addition to his architectural practice, Fieldman is a writer, photographer, and installation artist whose work explores the intersections of creativity, systems thinking, and human connection. He is also a widely read writer on culture, economics, politics, and mental health.

Fieldman will also host a book signing for Everything Is Broken: The Coming Age of Abundance during CitiesAlive 2026.

CitiesAlive 2026 will bring together leading researchers, designers, policymakers, and industry professionals from across North America to explore the future of green infrastructure and climate resilience.

The conference will take place from September 30 to October 3, 2026 at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge. CitiesAlive has secured a special conference rate for attendees wanting to stay at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge. Learn more here.
