In-Person Green Roof Professional Training Returns to Vancouver Ahead of Grey to Green 2025 Conference
Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) is excited to announce a rare opportunity for professionals to participate in in-person Green Roof Professional (GRP) Accreditation Training, taking place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Creekside Community Centre in Vancouver. This one-day intensive training precedes the Grey to Green Vancouver Conference on Friday, May 23, 2025, making it a well rounded two-day event for green infrastructure professionals. The trainer, Dr. Christine Thuring is a certified Green Roof professional who also holds a PhD on green roofs and works as a consultant at Ecotone. Register or learn more about the training here. The GRP Training, not commonly offered in-person, is a vital first step for professionals seeking to earn their Green Roof Professional designation. The training was developed to bridge the gap in traditional design and construction education. The credential equips participants with critical knowledge in green roof design, installation, waterproofing, drainage, and plant media.
