These are “Green Infrastructure for Climate Adaptation”, “Introduction to Solar Green Roof Integration” both on May 1, and the hands-on “Green Roof Installation and Maintenance Professional” training and certification program on May 2. Green Infrastructure for Climate Adaptation

Green infrastructure is a valuable and cost effective piece of climate adaptation and resilience strategy that can be utilized by municipalities to achieve a number sustainability goals through the multiple and varied benefits of the systems.
This half-day course covers the types, benefits, principles, applications, and successful policies of different types of green infrastructure, how they can contribute to climate adaptation strategy, and how you can support their development and implementation.
Introduction to Solar Green Roof Integration

Green roofs and solar panels are often viewed as wholly separate rooftop technologies, however, a thoughtful combination of the two can actually maximize the benefits of both systems enhancing green roof co-benefits and solar power generation.
This course aims to understand the basic principles and functionalities of the two, identify areas of synthesis, and explore how to maximize benefits and returns in projects that incorporate both.
Green Roof Installation & Maintenance Professional
9am-5pm

The new Green Roof Installation & Maintenance Professional (GRIMP) Accreditation is a one day hands-on training and certification program developed by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) in collaboration with many industry experts. Designed to address the shortage of formalized training and skilled professionals in green roof installation and maintenance, GRIMP training equips participants with essential knowledge and practical skills. The program covers best practices in installation, waterproofing considerations, maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and more. Certified GRIMPS must complete a day of hands-on training, followed by two hours of online training and then successfully completion of an online examination.
