Dickinson College Joins Regional Academic Centers of Living Architecture
Green Roofs for Healthy Cities is pleased to announce Dickinson College is joining the Greater Ohio Living Architecture Center (GOLA) and the Regional Academic Centers of Excellence (RACE) network. As a member institution, Dickinson will collaborate with other RACE institutions to bring together students, faculty, professionals, and industry to advance the study and research of integrating plants and living organisms into buildings to make cities more livable. Allyssa teaches a green infrastructure course at Dickinson College and her lab focuses on understanding the soil-plant-water relationships of green roof systems with the goal of improving green roof design, implementation, and management.
“Us Dickinsonians are very excited to be joining the GOLA and RACE networks. Our faculty and students are looking forward to engaging with the network through research and scholarship to work towards creating more sustainable and resilient cities,” said Professor Decker. “
