Chicago Hosts Green Roof Installation and Maintenance Professional Training During the Grey to Green Conference

As part of the upcoming Grey to Green Chicago conference, the Green Roof Installation and Maintenance Professional (GRIMP) Training is set to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills in green roof installation and maintenance. Scheduled for Thursday, June 6th, coinciding with World Green Roof Day, the hands on training will take place at the Omni Ecosystems HQ.  

The GRIMP Training is tailored to provide participants with comprehensive insights into various green roof systems and planting types. Led by Blaine Stand, GRP, Professional Resources Manager at GRHC, the training aims to empower green roof installers and maintenance professionals with the necessary expertise to ensure successful project execution and ongoing maintenance.

Pricing for the GRIMP Training is $495 USD for nonmembers and $395 USD for GRHC Members. Registration is limited, and more than half the available slots have been sold so far. Each registered attendee will receive:

  • unlimited access to online course recordings,

  • hands-on training with a selection of green roof modules,

  • a digital resource manual, 

  • one attempt at the one hour online GRIMP Exam, and 

  • a one-year GRHC Individual Membership.

This immersive training opportunity is designed to empower industry professionals with the necessary tools and insights to excel in the field of green infrastructure. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot and take advantage of this unique learning opportunity.

Training Agenda:

  • 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM: GRIMP Training Session, led by Blaine Stand

  • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Omni Ecosystems Maintenance Visit

  • 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Networking on the Omni Ecosystems Green Roof
