Dr. Jennifer Bousselot, PhD, GRP
Colorado State University
Jennifer Bousselot is an assistant professor at Colorado State University in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. Bousselot has studied green roof species selection, water use and substrates in Colorado for over 10 years. She specializes in green roof research on native species evaluations, plant drought tolerance, integration with solar panels, and rooftop agrivoltaics. Jen has co-authored 15 publications since 2010 with most related to green roofs, local foods, and native plants and is the coauthor of the Colorado Native Plant Society published third edition of Common Southwestern Native Plants.
Jen is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Living Architecture, a longtime member of the Research Committee for Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC), and Board Member of both GRHC and the High Plains Environmental Center. Jen co-coordinates the Colorado Regional Academic Center of Excellence in Living Architecture designated by GRHC. She was a technical advisor for the 2017 Green Roof Ordinance in Denver and is on the Green Building Ordinance Technical Advisory Committee for the City of Denver.

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities
Steven spearheaded the first green roof demonstration project on Toronto City Hall 20 years ago and the mandatory green roof policy in Toronto a decade ago. This innovative policy has resulted in more than 10 million additional square feet of green space across the city. Due to Steven’s work, GRHC has helped to win green roof policy victories in San Francisco, Washington, DC; Portland, Oregon; and Denver, Colorado. Steven also founded Green Infrastructure Ontario coalition to bring together organizations that share an interest in the protection and development of green infrastructure in Ontario. In 2007 he co-founded the World Green Infrastructure Network, an international organization that promotes the use of green infrastructure around the world.
