Recently, Blacks In Green and Naomi Davis have been partaking in some phenomenal energy justice work. They’ve joined Argonne National Lab’s as a community collaborator. This study will focus on how climate change affects inner city neighborhoods, such as Woodlawn, Chicago.

They had also held a Black Energy Justice Retreat in July. This retreat deepened the understanding of the best practices or overlooked solutions designed for communities. Their goal is to end energy poverty in Illinois, and eventually across the country. Naomi Davis is a leader in energy justice as she understands and advocates for the quality of life for Black/Brown households affected by energy poverty.
