Dallas City Council has passed a new plan for increasing food production in Dallas in a bid to increase sustainable and local agriculture.

Following a $1.55 billion renovation, the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown, Manhattan now features a one-acre rooftop farm.

The plan is to grow up to 40,000 pounds of produce each year
