New Biophilic Holism Course on the Living Architecture Academy

Biophilic design is great for physical and mental health. It is known to boost productivity and creativity. Green Roofs for Healthy Cities is pleased to announce the release of Biophilic Holism, on the Living Architecture Academy online training platform. In this course Elizabeth Calabrese, AIA, explains the origin and meaning of the word biophilia, examines our own human nature through vignette sketches, and outlines the evolution of biophilic design. She has been in the design industry for 30 years with national and international projects to her credit. Elizabeth is a leading educator of biophilic design and believes that ecology and biophilia belong at the foundation and core of professional design and engineering programs. As a consultant, she encourages a holistic, integrated, “eco-system” approach when incorporating biophilia into projects including those seeking Living Building Challenge and WELL Building certifications.
