Leo Stuckardt, Senior Project Leader and Architect at MVRDV, Announced as Keynote Speaker at CitiesAlive 2024 in Toronto
Leo Stuckardt, Senior Project Leader and Co-Founder of MVRDV NEXT, will join CitiesAlive 2024 as a keynote speaker. Mr. Stuckardt will present his session titled, "Outstanding Green Infrastructure Projects and Plans from Around the World" on Friday, November 8, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Toronto’s highly anticipated green infrastructure conference.
A pioneer in experimental design technologies, Stuckardt has built MVRDV NEXT into an influential R&D group of over 350 employees, specializing in innovative computational workflows and new narrative forms for urban and architectural design. Through NEXT, he collaborates with MVRDV’s architecture and urban studios, advancing design methodologies that enhance project capabilities and streamline processes. Stuckardt’s focus on the future impact of MVRDV’s work is grounded in exploring emerging technologies and speculative design, which he often shares through teaching and lecturing engagements, including at The Why Factory, TU Delft, and CTU Prague.
CitiesAlive 2024, taking place from November 6 to 9, will mark its 20th anniversary with over 100 expert speakers and panelists, hands-on learning sessions,masterclasses, guided tours, and dynamic networking events. This year’s conference will explore pivotal issues including climate resilience, equity, and decarbonization, underscoring two decades of advancements in green roof and green infrastructure innovation.
