Introducing the Sustainable Futures: Designing Green Communities and Buildings Podcast

Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) is pleased to announce the launch of its new podcast series: Sustainable Futures: Designing Green Communities and Buildings: A Living Architecture Monitor Podcast. The podcasts will feature different experts working in the field of green infrastructure design and implementation. Episode one, Cooling the Urban Heat Island goes into detail about what causes the Urban Heat Island and how green infrastructure can help us address this pressing issue. 

The host of the podcast is Steven Peck, GRP, Founder and President, GRHC. Our first episode will feature the award winning scientist, Dr. Brad Bass. Dr. Bass received his PhD in Geography from Penn State University, his research interests include modeling complexity, water quality policy, management alternatives for reducing urban phosphorus loads into the Great Lakes and the economic issues around public policy.
