Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) announces the upcoming Green Infrastructure Research Symposium, a virtual event taking place on October 25th from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST. This symposium promises to be a groundbreaking exploration of the latest trends and developments in green infrastructure research and sustainable urban solutions. Register today!
The symposium brings together a dynamic range of professionals, students, and researchers, interested in the realm of green infrastructure, urban planning, and environmental research. The event aims to foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation within the field, ultimately contributing to the creation of more sustainable and resilient urban landscapes.
“Scientists from many disciplines will gather to share the results of their research projects related to living architecture at the symposium,” says Dr. Jennifer Bousselot, Assistant Professor of Horticulture at Colorado State University. “Even the green roof/wall industry will be intrigued as the emerging professionals presenting lightning talks will be job hunting soon.”
Featuring two distinct tracks, the symposium profiles both established academics and emerging professionals.
Academic Research Track: Renowned experts in the field will showcase their cutting-edge findings, providing invaluable insights that are shaping the future of green infrastructure and green roofs. Engage with captivating presentations such as "Grassland Green Roofs" by Haven Kiers, Ron Guerra, and Hunter Ottman, as well as "The Effect of Annual Compost Additions to Green Roof Media on Lettuce Production" by Leigh Whittinghill, Christine Jackson, and Pradip Poudel.
Emerging Professionals/Students Track: This track spotlights the next generation of professionals and students in the field, offering a platform for them to present their innovative research and ideas.
