Green Roofs for Healthy Cities and the Green Infrastructure Foundation are hosting the Grey to Green: DC Metro Conference at the Tommy Douglas Conference Center, in Silver Spring, MD and are pleased to announce that William Hooke, Senior Fellow, American Meteorological Society will deliver a keynote about climate change and green infrastructure on October 29, 2019.
William Hooke is a Senior Policy Fellow at the American Meteorological Society. With an atmospheric science academic background, Dr. Hooke is a thought leader and the author of Living on the Real World: How Thinking and Acting Like Meteorologists Will Help Save the Planet. Dr. Hooke’s primary research interests are natural disaster reduction, historical precedents as they illuminate present-day policy, and the implications of changing national requirements for weather and climate science and services.
“We are very excited to welcome Dr. Hooke as a special guest and keynote presenter to share his insights on the science behind climate change, the effects climate change will have on oceans, as well as the potential for policy interventions.” said Steven W.
